Update or terminate supplementary insurance policies by letter or e-mail

Which form is allowed and when?

Policy modifications or notices of termination must comply with certain conditions to be legally valid. In addition to time-related provisions such as notice periods, the Insurance Policies Act sets out the formal requirements for communications relating to supplementary insurance policies. This means that most requests can now be sent easily by e-mail. The following menu gives you an overview of show and when you can submit your requests.

Please send your requests and notifications using one of the communication channels listed below. We are unfortunately unable to process cancellation requests that are submitted to us in any other form.

Your supplementary insurance requests

Send your signed cancellation form:

  • by e-mail to E-Mail as a photo or scan
  • by post to Sympany, Peter Merian-Weg 4, 4002 Basel

Send your notification within 14 days of your application:

  • by e-mail to e-mail to E-Mail
  • by post to Sympany, Peter Merian-Weg 4, 4002 Basel

Send your request:

Important:
Cancelling a policy by e-mail is only possible if we can definitively identify the insured person. Therefore, please confirm your full name and customer number in your e-mail, and ensure that your current e-mail address is stored in our system.
