Foundation Board

The remuneration of the Sympany Foundation Board compensates its members in all the companies (Sympany Foundation, Vivao Sympany AG, Moove Sympany AG, Kolping Krankenkasse AG, Sympany Versicherungen AG and Sympany Services AG) for all their work and expenses. The remuneration comprises an annual fixed payment and an additional fixed sum for committee work and meeting attendance fees. The Chairman is also paid a fixed amount of compensation for office infrastructure.

In 2019, the total remuneration of the Foundation Board amounted to CHF 449,001. The highest individual remuneration was paid to the Chairman of the Foundation Board and amounted to CHF 125,000.

Executive Board

The remuneration of the Sympany Executive Board compensates its members in all the companies (Sympany Foundation, Vivao Sympany AG, Moove Sympany AG, Kolping Krankenkasse AG, Sympany Versicherungen AG and Sympany Services AG) for all their work and expenses. The remuneration comprises a basic salary, employer’s contributions to the Pension Fund, variable remuneration which is dependent on business results and the achievement of targets, and other compensation.

In 2019, the total remuneration of the Executive Board was made up of cash payments of CHF 1,968,790 net, CHF 374,313 in employer’s contributions to the Pension Fund and other compensation of CHF 54,039. The cash payment comprises the basic salary and all variable amounts. The highest individual remuneration was that paid to the CEO, made up of a cash payment of CHF 424,567 net, provident contributions of CHF 81,746 and other compensation of CHF 8,542.

The members of the Executive Board are obliged to remit to the company any fees or other compensation that they receive from mandates on Sympany’s behalf. No additional fees or compensation were paid to members of the Executive Board in 2019.
