Food packaged without any problems

Plastic food packaging is facing criticism due to environmental problems and toxins that are released into food. But alternatives made from renewable resources are not always better from a health point of view either. Swiss laboratories found carcinogenic substances in paper drinking straws and bamboo tableware.

These tips will keep you on the safe side:

  • If possible, choose containers made of glass, stainless steel or ceramic.
  • If possible, buy unpackaged or less processed food.
  • Reusable crockery is more environmentally friendly.
  • If you do use plastic containers, do not use them for greasy and/or hot food.
