In 2019, the premiums for all outpatient supplementary insurance policies will remain unchanged. This is pleasing and can be attributed to the benefit costs not rising last year.
Due to the rising cost of benefits, premiums for hospita flex for age groups 61 and upwards and for kombi privat are having to be adjusted.
No adjustments will be made to any other inpatient supplements.
Discounts
Sympany offers versions of the hospita, salto and compensa supplementary insurance policies with a no-claims bonus. If a policyholder claims benefits again, their individual no-claims bonus lapses. If, however, they have not claimed any benefits for three years in succession, they will be allocated to another tier in the bonus system.
Framework agreements within supplementary insurance will be regularly reviewed by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. Existing discounts on framework agreements – for example with employers, sports clubs and associations – which no longer fulfil statutory criteria may no longer be applied. Therefore, from 1 January 2019, there will be no more framework agreement discounts at Sympany.
Sympany offers its customers various preferential terms.
