New benefit statement: simple and clear

Our goal is to make life easier for Sympany policyholders. That is why we have completely revised the benefit statement.

Each month, Sympany sends out around 150,000 benefit statements. With help from the Sympany customer advisory council, the document has been completely revised. The benefit statement is now simple to understand and clear, and helps you to keep an eye on your statements and cost contribution.

The larger font and more spacious layout are especially noticeable. Despite these modifications, we are actually using less paper, as the way the information is split up across the pages has also been improved – allowing us to take care of the environment as well. Speaking of paper use, around one third of our policyholders already receive the benefit statement and all other documents online only and “paperless” in the mySympany customer portal.

The paid benefits for all family members are listed in the same contract. Up-to-date information on franchise and deductible for all family members is also presented in graphs.

More transparency

  • The amounts marked green or red show whether you are due to receive or pay money.
  • Billing and treatment dates make it easier to identify the invoice.
  • Each benefit (e.g. doctor, hospital, medicine, treatment) is listed in detail and there is a note about whether the invoice was paid by you or by Sympany directly.
  • For each benefit, there is an explanation about which insurance (basic or supplementary insurance) covers it.
  • An explanation is provided if the costs are not covered.
