Sympany has the legal form of a foundation. This foundation is owner of non-profit making public limited companies Vivao Sympany AG, Moove Sympany AG and Sympany Versicherungen AG. Since 1 January 2011 Vivao Sympany Schweiz AG and Xundheit, Öffentliche Gesundheitskasse Schweiz AG, purchased in June 2009, have been integrated into Vivao Sympany AG.
Sympany Insurances Ltd is the legal entity of our supplementary insurance business. Vivao Sympany AG and Moove Sympany AG are legal entities of our KVG basic insurance business, the latter additionally also the legal entity of our daily sickness benefits business in the compulsory basic insurance.
Since 2011 the company has been operating solely under the Sympany brand. The Vivao Sympany, Moove Sympany and Trust Sympany sub-brands are being phased out.
