Sympany customers donate for Haiti …

… and have given around CHF 25,000.

Sympany's call for monetary donations for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti has been heard by many. Overall, customers have transferred the impressive amount of around CHF 25,000 to the Swiss Red Cross since March 2010.

Solidarity with the earthquake victims in Haiti is enormous. In addition to initial emergency assistance for the many victims, the Swiss Red Cross has set itself the goal of making a key contribution to the country's recovery. Many Sympany customers have heeded the company's call to achieve this goal and help the people in Haiti; they have donated over CHF 25,000. Sympany's employees have also made donations. Altogether, almost CHF 30,000 have been given to the Swiss Red Cross overall.

The following examples give an indication of what this money could do in the region hit by the earthquake:

With this amount, 10 homeless families can, for example, be given a new home. CHF 30,000 is also enough to build and equip a small village clinic (providing basic health care services). Or a hospital for patients with tuberculosis could use CHF 30,000 to employ two specialist physicians for an entire year. These and many other ways to provide support are now possible thanks to the money donated.

Sympany would like to say thank you for the generous support for the people in Haiti.
